The community garden is still looking to find a few things to make the garden more complete. Do you have any extras you’d like to give away? Please contact us. Here’s our wishlist:
- picnic table
- bench
- lumber to build beds
- tarps
- 6 mm plastic sheeting
- deer fencing
- and, of course, we’ll take good ol’ fashioned money too!

This is great Anne! I, too, enjoyed “Dirt! The Movie.” It was really great to go out and spread compost the next day at a farm I work on. It felt like good work.
I was going to have a sign making party for plot owners on May 22nd. Do you want to make junk art that day as well? A day solely dedicated to junk art would be great too! Email me if you’re interested…jen_schaap@hotmail.com
Kudos to all on getting Petoskey’s Victory Garden up and running!! Dave and I enjoyed the inspirational movie “Dirt”. I would recommend it to everyone (especially schools) to see this exceptional film.
After purusing some wonderful recycled junk garden art eye-candy websites; I thought that having a junk garden art community challenge/fundraiser would be fun!!
